Long overdue update

So sorry for the long absence. As you can imagine, I have a lot of stuff to do before we move. So, here is the update of what's happened since my last post.

WE SOLD THE HOUSE!!!

Yes! We are in escrow now and close on July 12th. Our move date is July 10th. We are having everything moved for us and we are flying out to Chicago on the red-eye that night. As you can imagine, I am up to my ears in boxes and packing. My mother and father-in-law flew in last night and will be here for a week. My mom also comes in today for a few days. I am thankful to have some help with the kids while I pack up all of our stuff.

The list of stuff to do before we leave is huge. Not only have I made all the move and travel arrangements, we have to get a new roof put on the house, sell Mark's motorcycle, find good homes here for our cats, Mark has to take his written board exam and we have to do all the address changes, service cancellations, etc.

Oh, and yes, the scraproom is all packed up. It took about 6 1.5 size boxes and 3 3.0 size boxes. That was including all albums, layouts, paper, magazines and photo boxes. Pretty good if you ask me. I also gave away about 30-50 lbs. of extra supplies to some friends. I am looking forward to getting set up at our new apartment. I am loosing my lovely scrap cabinets in this house, but I will have a small space in the basement family room of our new place.

We will be living in an apartment for a year, but we are looking to buy some land in the country to build a house on. I found my dream home on a home plans website. Imagine this house sitting in the middle of some woods that are surrounded by corn fields. Nice huh?
