Where did this month go? I know it's a short one, but it seems like we skipped it altogether. Tomorrow is the start of March and that means David will be 6 in the 22nd. Hard to believe my baby boy is almost 6. How did that happen??? It seems that the older they get the faster they grow up. We will probaby have a nice back yard party for him. My mom also got us Disneyland tickets for the weekend after his birthday. We have never taken the kids there before so we are really looking forward to it. My mom, Noelle and my cousin Crystal will be coming along.

We have had a really busy February. Mark had an orthopeadic conference in San Diego a few weeks ago. Noelle came down for a few days and we took the kids to see Daddy for the weekend. We had the chance to go to Sea World for the first time (the kids first time) while we were down there and we had a great time. The boys were a little scared during the Shamu show and in the arctic exhibit, but other than that they loved it. It had been so long since Noelle and I were there. Probably since 1988 or so.

Mark and I also got to have a dinner out at a nice restaurant in LaJolla one night. We got together with one of his college classmates who was also attending the conference. On the last day we stopped in Orange County to visit with some friends of ours who live in Norway. They were in town for a wedding and had a free afternoon. It's always good to see them.

I'll leave you with some photos of our trip to Long Beach this last weekend. We went there on the spur of the moment to see the Tour of California bike race final stage. A lot of the world's best cyclists were riding in this race and we figured we wouldn't get much more chances to see riders of this caliber (a lot of Tour de France riders) again, so we packed up the kids and our friend Keith and headed out. When we got there they had a section of the parking lot where the team cars, trailers and trucks were stationed. We were suprised that they let the general public just wander though this area. We got to see some of the most famous riders up close. Here is Mark with Michael Rasmussen, a Danish rider who rides for Rabobank. He didn't look too happy to be posing, but other than that, he was nice enough.

Here is the winner of the tour, Levi Leipheimer. He just rode right in front of me while on his way to the start. I didn't even know it was him until after I had snapped the photo.

Here is the peleton as it raced by us. You can see Keith in the sunglasses and Mark holding Luke below him. If you watch the race really close you can see us in the last lap right in this spot. It's kinda blurry, but it's us! We were right below the walking bridge that spans the street.

We are so glad we decided to go to this. The event was free, the crowds were not that big, we had a great view and we got to see the best cyclists in the world. We even saw the infamous Floyd Landis. He was walking the crowds with his entourage. We are not sure why, but it was interesting.
