Some fun new photos

We finally lost a top tooth! My baby is growing up!

Here is Luke pretending to be a superhero. I love these!

Here are some photos of some finished knitting projects.
The first is a dress I made for Hannah in size 18 months. It came out a little bit bigger than I though. She should be able to wear it this fall. It's from the Debbie Bliss Baby Knits for Beginners book. I knit it with a cotton/alpaca blend and it's so soft!

This is called "Fetching". Pattern is available on knitty.com. My first foray into cables and it wasn't that hard. I made them with a wool/cashmere/microfiber blend yarn (just happened to have the same yarn recommended in the pattern). Can't wait to wear them this winter.

I can see the promised land

2 1/2 more weeks! I am in the midst of boxes, packing tape, and lots of messes. Stacks of boxes line my walls and our stuff is slowly disappearing from view. Packing seems a lot easier than last year. I don't have a garage full of stuff to sort through and organize and lots of things are already in plastic storage boxes. We also are not having to purge stuff as we didn't aquire that much stuff this year (other than yarn and toys, he he).

Here are some things I am looking forward to in our new house:

Having my refrigerator and freezer door open all the way (yep, right now they don't. My kitchen is very narrow)

Letting the boys out to play in the yard by themselves

Having only a couple neighbors instead of 50 or so

Hearing the birds chirp and listening to the wind through the trees and not much else

Getting Hannah out of our room and into her own room, and a crib to sleep in!

Containing most of the toy mess in the upstairs playroom

Storage space

A Garage to park in

Laundry on the same floor as the bedrooms

Some other things I can think of that will make life a little easier:

Mark's parents will only be a 35 minute drive

Mark will have every Tuesday off, weekday call once every 2 weeks and weekend call once every 2 months

A pool a few blocks away as well as lots of opportunities for organized sports activities

We are heading up to the house this weekend one more time for a visit (we'll also be attending the wedding of our friend Tricia in Michigan). My mom comes to Indy on the 16th and then we move out on the 18th and move into our house on the 19th. Mark will be staying with one of the other fellows for one week and then he comes up to join us on the 25th. Keep us in your thoughts as we go through this stressful process again! Thanks!
